BJP leader shot dead in Greater Noida, party workers set vehicles on fire

Greater Noida, Jun 8 (Zee News): Three days after Union Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde lost his life in a road accident in the national capital, another Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vijay Pandit was on Saturday night shot dead by unidentified bike riders here.

According to reports, the bikers fired five bullets at Pandit, due to which he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Pandits wife, Geeta Pandit, is the chairperson of Nagar Palika Parishad (Dadri).

Meanwhile, BJP worker have gathered here and are staging protest against the firing incident. They have even set many vehicles on fire, reports said.

Police have cordoned-off the entire area whereas a Political Action Committee (PAC) has been deployed on the spot.

The shootout once again brought to the fore the deteriorating law and order situation in Greater Noida where the murder of a college manager on May 9, had triggered a massive protest.

Born on 1st January 1968, at Palam village, a place in New Delhi, Pandit grew up in a culture that had made him a man of action. He was the vice-president of Delhi Pradesh, BJP.

After Narendra Modi-led NDA government came into power, sweeping the 2014 General Elections, this is the third untoward incident happened with the party leaders.

Earlier, Munde had died of “multiple internal injuries" leading to cardiac arrest following a car accident in Delhi on early morning of June 03, the preliminary post-mortem report prepared by a panel of doctors at the AIIMS Trauma Centre in Safdarjung Enclave had said.

Surprisingly, a day after Munde's death, another accident involving a security vehicle tailing RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat was reported from the national capital.

Modi has a mammoth job controlling these power hungry party people within BJP. They will go to any extent to eliminate anyone as far as positions\power in the party especially that now BJP has won hands down and there is a sort of freedom to whack wealth without much resistance.
Slowly things are going to be as they should not be as the greed takes over sanity resulting in clearing hurdles, mud-slinging etc etc.
They can conveniently blame someone else or cry foul as conspiracy to hide their internal unrest.

Killing a political leader or any other person for that matter is highly condemnable. May the departed soul rest in peace.
Govt should arrest the culprits and bring them to books and award harsh punishment.
However, BJP workers setting public vehicles on fire is riot mentality.
How does that benefit them or the deceased? They should exercise restraint and demand action from law enforcement, not to take law in their hand like those killers.
