Panaji, Jul 14: Goa legislative assembly speaker Fransisco Sardinha on Wednesday disallowed electronic media from telecasting assembly proceedings other than question hour.
Taking serious cognizance of unparliamentary words used during heated discussions telecasted by electronic media, speaker warned that such telecast in future would be considered as contempt of house. Goa state legislative assembly is in session.
"At times during heated discussion there is exchange of words and unparliamentary words are used. These discussions are telecast by electronic media," speaker stated on the floor of the house.
Sardinha, however, allowed shooting of the entire assembly proceedings except question hour time.
