Mangalore, Jul 15:  Apart from a case of unnatural death of six-year-old Irfan in the Bantwal rural police station limits and the sum of Rs 10,600 collected as fine under 156 cases booked for breech of various traffic rules, the DK district has been peaceful during the last 24 hours as at 1600 hrs of July 14.

With this report, DK police have attained another milestone in bringing about order in its working.

The IT-savvy Superintendent of Police B Dayananda has done it again.

In a novel venture, the DK police has planned to release Daily Crime Incidents on its blog, www.spdk.blogspot.com

The DK police proposes to give information relating to all incidents of crime reported in the district on a daily basis on this blog. A format has been worked out for this purpose and information will be collated from various police stations of the district and consolidated and published in the blog, stated the SP Dayananda.

Crime reported during the previous 24 hours as at 1600 hours of the day will only be considered. The information so gathered will be published by 1800 hours everyday.

In addition to FIRs reported, UDRs (Unnatural Deaths) and Missing Persons will also be taken into account.

Besides this, information relating to motor vehicle cases booked by the Police Officers of the district and the fine amount collected in this regard will also be made known to the public on a daily basis.
