Mangalore / Suratkal, Jul 15: A milk cooperative, established solely for the empowerment of women and run exclusively by women at Soorinje on the outskirts of the city, became the theatre of an unpleasant drama on Thursday night.
Woman power, in a negative way, came to the fore, when two female employees, Kavita and Gunavati, allegedly assaulted another woman, Indira, who is also director of the milk producers' cooperative.
The two employees had earlier pointed out the poor quality of the milk supplied by Indira to the society. The verbal spat that followed culminated in the employee duo assaulting the director.
A complaint has been filed by Indira with the Suratkal police.
