From Sanjay Borkar in Margao for Daijiworld News Network - Goa

Margao, Jul 15 : Mumbai serial bomb blast on Tuesday took away the life of young Goan engineer working in a telecommunication company at Churchgate.

Ranjan Naik (42), from Assolna village of Goa, fell a victim to serial blasts, while he was proceeding home to Virar as usual. At Mahim, with the blast impact the compartment he was travelling in was ripped apart. He was killed along with many fellow-passengers.

Every year Ranjan would come to Goa to celebrate Chaturthi festival. His family would miss him this year on.

Ranjan is survived by wife and a son. His family rushed to Mumbai when they heard this shocking news, but could not bring his mutilated body home for last rites.

Hence the last rites were performed in Mumbai.
