6-year-old Infant Found Dead

Bantwal: Six-year-old Irfan was found dead in the Gurupura River on Jul 11. He is the son of Musthafa residing in Kuvattu village of Beltangady taluk. It is suspected that the boy was walking on the causeway and slipped into the canal and was washed away. The body has been found near Rante Mazjid, Badagabellur village. A case has been registered at Bantwal Rural Police Station.

Man Ends Life

Sullia: A man committed suicide by jumping into a well on Friday. Srinath Shanbogue of Nettaru here ended his life by drowning himself in the neighbouring well on Friday night. Srinath who is said to have visited the court regarding a judicial case returned home and slept. At mid night he is said to have jumped into the well and ended his life. However the reason for his committing suicide has still not been found.

Youth Meets Watery Grave

Moodbidri: Narayan of Todaru Kerekodi was found dead in a lake recently. Narayan (34) is the son of Dobayya and is said to have gone for a swim in the lake. He was a daily wage earner.
