College magazine puts Modi in list of most cruel people, case registered

Thrissur (Kerala), Jun 10 (IANS): The Kerala police have registered a case against the editorial team of a college magazine which placed Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a list of the world's most cruel people, a police official said Tuesday.

A case was registered against those responsible for editing the magazine at the Government Polytechnic Kunnamkulam for placing Modi's picture among the world's most cruel people list in the magazine, a police official from the Kunnamkulam police station told IANS here.

"The case was registered suo-motu by police and the charges are bailable. Our investigations are going on," said the police official who did not wish to be identified.

Modi's picture was placed among people like former Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden, terrorist Ajmal Kasab, captured during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks and former German dictator Adolf Hitler.

Principal in-charge Babu Raj said they are probing how this happened.

"A staff meeting is being called to find out what happened on this issue," Babu Raj told IANS.

The magazine was distributed when the new academic year started last week and Modi's picture was noticed.

Former principal Krishnan Kutty, who retired from service last month said he and those responsible for overseeing the magazine are baffled about how this happened.

"When we checked the manuscript before it went for printing, this picture was not there. Police are looking into how this lapse occurred," said Kutty.

State Bharatiya Janata Party president V. Muraleedharan said it is the responsibility of the state government to take appropriate action against the wrong doers.

Some people should try to control their emotions and frustrations before it buids up to a danger level that they become threat to social and communal fabric of the society. Frusttation do happen when you don't get the things what you want that too aftrer dreaming about it so much, even we were frustrated at one point of time, but controlled it to answer in a democratic way & now we are optimistic of our future.

When Country has democratically elected Modi as its P.M. it is wrong on the part of the College.
But similar Post or even worst posts were on social sites about MMS who was our P.M.
When I was objecting for such Posts, some called or termed me as "CONGI SUPPORTER"
What a double standard? Now same peoples favorite person is at the receiving end, they feel the pinch.

Both are not right, people who knows to give respect will receive respect. We should spread this great Indian culture.
Should learn to see in other persons perspective also.

I dont think it will be a big thing to track and catch the actual culprit who has done it. Just do it on fast track and punish him appropriately. How dare they get courage to do this kind of mistakes, it's evident intentionally.

Reminds me of India's emergency rule by India's PM late Indira Gandhi, where the freedom of expression was suppressed. World was not technologically advanced then, but now anyone from any corner of the world can upload anything and Indian government cannot go after each and everyone.

When someone expresses his/her opinion, it doesn't mean that everyone is going to agree with him/her. It is just one's opinion and they should be allowed to express it at least when it comes to public figure.

Arresting for dissented opinions is not in the spirit of democracy. It doesn't make us different than Saddam Hussain, Hitler or any other dictators.

If someone called somebody a SOB, that doesn't mean that he is an SOB. It is just to ventilate the frustration.

Karnataka unit of BJP got drubbed to 40 seats from 120 in the last assembly election. Did any of our own party members insult our party leaders calling them JOKER or USELESS?

This is called "common sense" man. Our party members have that much MATURITY and DISCIPLINE. Even if they want to express dissatisfaction over others we have the platform and process for that.

    Are you watching?

Inflation is reducing, gold rates are coming down, rupee is gaining, stock market is improving. Petrol price is expected to come down by 3-4 Rs per liter in next 5-6 months.

Why are you obfuscating on the issue ?

Filing a police case against the students is wrong, as they have freedom of expression.

But the principal has the right disciplinary action against them if they have violated college rules.

Similarly the MLA from Kerala has every right to call Rajiv a fool, he cannot be arrested for it. But the congress party can send him out of the party sayign he has violated its rules.

You seem to be a logical person, I hope you understand the difference.

    1) Modi baiters in FB were booked where as MMS/Sonia/Rahul biters were untouched. This happened in Karnataka ruled by Cong -1 points. Also happened in Goa 1 points

2)Sanghi related orgs indulged in communal riots resulting in killing of innocent man in Maha 1 point even though all extremist elements need not be Sanghis as hatefully you call.It is like saying all from a community are terrorists.

3)Gopinath Munde was eliminated quietly for which CBI INQUIRY may commence -10 points , just nonsense

4)Communal forces are @ wings and lot of disturbances were reported across the country - 10 points unsubstantiated and subjective comment

5)Today one more BJP leader was shot dead in Muzapur City!-1 point UP is ruled by SP.

Finally the above incidnent happened in Kerala where people are either congress or communists!

Surely it is a crime to insult great personalities like Shivaji. Let the government investigate and punish the culprit. Surely whoever posted it, must get the punishment. But here one innocent young man lost his life for no reason. Secondly we cannot rule out the possibility of some Sene for this post in face book same as hoisting of Pakistani flag in Sindhagi by Ram Sene.
