No respite from heat in the national capital


New Delhi, June 11 (IANS): The heat wave will continue in the national capital Wednesday. The Met forecasts the maximum temperature to hover around 44 degrees Celsius, lower than recent days when the mercury rose above 45 degrees Celsius mark.

The day's minimum temperature was recorded three notches above average at 31.2 degrees Celsius.

"The skies will remain clear," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Humidity at 8:30 a.m. was 30 percent.

Tuesday's maximum temperature settled six notches above the season's average at 45.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled two notches above average at 30.1 degrees Celsius.
