Udupi, Jul 16: A housewife at Garadimajal near here paid with her life for having objected to her husband's lingering addiction for drinks.
The tragic incident took place on Friday night, when, as usual, Sanjiva Moolya(40), came home in a heavily drunken state. His wife Ammanni (35) took objection to his habit.
An altercation followed during which Sanjiva is said to have pushed her. She fell to the ground and died of fatal injury.
The Malpe police have registered a case in this connection.
