Mumbai, Jun 12: "The premier of the movie ‘Brahmashree Narayana Guru Swami’ directed and produced by Rajashekar Kotian will be held on Sunday June 15 at 8.50 am in the Cinemax theatre in Goregaon," said the spokesperson of Billawar Association.
"Brahmashree Narayana Guru was a saint and a reformer who spread awareness among the people with regard to conversion and he focused on communal harmony, discipline and stability in practices. He was against the practice of untouchability and has been the devine source for the backward community people. He was the one who taught that education and association are the two things which can make a society strong and secure," he said.
"He attracted a large number of people towards and preached that education is the solution to all problems. His gift to the reformation and development of the society and the country is on a high note. It is indeed a must to spread his preaching to the next generation as his gift to the society is followed and appreciated by many," he added.
He continued, "One of his saying ‘one caste, one religion, one god’ is famous even today. Keeping all these aspects under consideration, Rajashekar Kotian has produced and directed the movie ‘Brahamshree Narayana Guru Swami,’ under the banner of Thungabadra Films. The movie has also been released in Tamilnadu on May 2 and has received lots of appreciation and support from the people."
Successful actors of the tulu movies namely Rajashekar Kotian, Vijay Raghavendra, Sooryoday Perampalli, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor including Jaya C Kotian, M B Kukian, Dhananjay Shanti along with Umanath Kotian, Abhaychandra Jain and others will be seen in different roles throughout the movie.
The movie will be premired in the presence of well-known personalities, philanthropists and the leaders of various associations like Mogaveera Mandali, Bantara Sangha, Bunts Associations, Thiya Samaj, Ganiga Samaj, Kulala Sangha, Devadiga Sangha and many others.
Billawar association's honourable president Jaya C Suvarna, president L V Ravi, vice president Nithyananda D Kotian, C T Salian, Chandrashekar S Poojary, Bhaskar Salian and honourable chief secretary Jyothi K Suvarna along with director-cum-producer, Rajashekar Kotian have urged the Mumbai based Kannadigas to watch the movie and support them.
