Pakistan court allows Musharraf to travel abroad

Islamabad, June 12 (IANS): A Pakistan court Thursday accepted former military ruler Pervez Musharraf's request to leave the country, media reported.

The Sindh High Court ruled that Musharraf's name should be removed from the exit control list, which has barred him from travelling out of Pakistan, Dawn online reported.

A two-judge bench of the high court issued the ruling following the hearing of Musharraf's request for the removal of his name from the exit control list, Dawn online reported.

The court stated that whoever opposes the ruling, can approach the SHC during the next 15 days.

The former army strongman is not allowed to leave the country during the 15-day period, the court added.
