Panaji, Jul 17: The villagers of Morjim came together to protest against foreign nationals buying land in the state.

The locals ploughed one of the sold pieces land with their tractors and power-tillers.

So far around 13 lac square metres of land has been sold to foreigners in Goa, out of which Bardez taluk alone leads with 11,44,211 sq mts.

Calangute beach area has the highest number of such cases, around 100.
