Eager to tell CBI my story: Kunal Ghosh

Kolkata, June 14 (IANS): Suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh Saturday said he was looking forward to his interrogation by the CBI, which has taken up the probe into the multi-crore rupee Saradha scam.

Facing prosecution in a number of cases relating to the scam, Ghosh also questioned the role of the West Bengal police in the wake of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) taking over the probe following a Supreme Court order.

Ghosh has repeatedly alleged the involvement of several of his party leaders in the scam.

"When the CBI has taken over the probe, I can't understand why police continue to harass me by slapping cases every now and then? CBI will formally start the probe from Monday and I am eager to tell them my side of the story, whatever I know about the scam," said Ghosh while being taken to a court.

Ghosh, who headed the Saradha's media arm, had earlier written a letter to the Enforcement Directorate also probing the scam, expressing apprehension on his life and urged the agency to interrogate several powerful politicians involved in the scam.

Meanwhile, investigating officers from various police stations probing the cases relating to the scam from across the districts, submitted case diaries and other relevant documents to CBI sleuths during the day.
