New Delhi, Jul 18: Sultry actress Priyanka Chopra celebrated her 24th birthday on Tuesday.
 
Born on July 18, 1982, Priyanka shot to fame after she won the Miss India-World title in 2000. And the winning streak did not stop at that, she also went to win the coveted Miss World title.

This was the first time the three beauty titles in one year went to the same country. Miss India Universe Lara Dutta became Miss Universe 2000 and Miss India Asia-Pacific Diya Mirza became Miss Asia-Pacific 2000.

Priyanka had a string of flops when she entered the film industry four years ago after winning the beauty pageants.

However, her 2004 film Mujse Shaadi Karogi became her claim to fame.

Her biggest hits over the past two years include Bluffmaster Waqt: The Race Against Time and Mujse Shaadi Karogi before Krrish came her way.

This year, she stars in the biggest hit of the year so far, Krrish, and is paired opposite none other than Shah Rukh Khan in the much-awaited Don.

"I believe in doing my job with utmost sincerity because I'm fond of acting," Priyanka had once said.

She had initially struggled to find success in Bollywood. "There were instances when someone left a film and I accepted it, and the movie turned out to be a hit. It's all destiny," she added.

Priyanka who plans to work on her birthday has said that she would work all day as this is what she wishes to do all year through.

Last year, Priyanka had spent the day at an orphanage she visits from time to time.
