Sullia, Jul 19:
The Customer Service Centre of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, located at Ashwini Complex at Car Street was looted by thieves on Monday, Jul 17. The thieves decamped with Rs 83,000 along with recharge coupons worth thousands of rupees.

According to sources, the thieves had entered the building by breaking open the lock of the main door shutter.

The safe locker in the office of the sub divisional engineer was taken away. However, the officials have confirmed that the locker contained no cash.

A total of Rs 83,000 cash from the locker of the bills and cash section, mobile prepaid recharge coupons and several SIM cards were also stolen

A team of finger print experts arrived at the spot from Mangalore. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Lokesh Kumar also visited the spot.
