UGDP condemns assault on junior engineer

Margao: The United Goan Democratic Party (UGDP) has condemned the shameful act of assault on a junior engineer of electricity department by the state agricultural minister Micky Pacheco, and has demanded that he be dropped from the ministry immediately.

The controversial minister has brought disrespect not only to the people of Benaulim constituency but to the people of entire state of Goa by his action, said UGDP secretary general Anacleto Viegas.

“Lord Krishna waited to punish Shishupal till the latter completed one hundred crimes, but today’s Shishupal will finish the state of Goa if we allow them to complete one hundred crimes," he said further.

Advocate Viegas has further called upon the staff of electricity department to continue to fight over this onslaught by the minister in the functioning of the department, failing which the department will have to dance to the tunes of goondas and thugs.
