New website to rank political leaders

New Delhi, June 17 (IANS): Citizens may get only one opportunity every five years to vote for their leaders, but a new website now provides a chance to rank the leaders based on their performance.

The web site www.rankmyleader.com will give people the opportunity to rank their leaders, besides providing news and information about the leaders concerned.

"The website will help give shape to public opinion by ranking leaders, based on votes from users on various relevant issues," Jasmeet Singh, founder and CEO rankmyleader.com, said.

"The public votes once in five years to take a decision on our political leaders, which is a long time. There is no metric to evaluate the political leaders when in power and this is where rankmyleader.com makes a difference," he said.

The web site has a list of leaders, and streaming alongside are news and other information about the leader.

The website has news, speeches, interviews and other information about the politicians.

It also features social media integration, so users can rate and comment on leaders' actions using their Facebook account.
