Mumbai, June 18: Premier of the Tulu film 'Brahmashree Narayana Guruswamy' produced and directed by popular artiste Rajashekar Kotian under the banner of Tungabhadra Films was held at Cinemax theatre situated at Goregaon west on Sunday June 15.

The show was led by Billawara Association, Mumbai. MP Gopal C Shetty who was present during the show lit the traditional lamp and set the show in motion.


Gopal Shetty who spoke on the occasion said that the people of different regions in the country have lived their lives based on their
traditions and the principles of their forefathers. He added that similarly the followers of Brahmashree Narayana Guru living all over the world have also followed his beliefs and customs. He said that the film proclaims the leadership and guidance of Narayana Guru and advises the social life of co-existence.

"The inspiration of the Guru which advises to acquire knowledge and drive away ignorance needs to be strengthened in the youth," he said. He called upon the people to be prepared for the lives of harmony for the progress of the society.

Rajashekar Kotian, producer and director of the film said that the film is produced to be conducive for the future of youth; it teaches
to stop slaughter of animals and to be relieved of superstitions.

Gopal Shetty felicitated Rajashekar Kotian. The association president L V Ameen welcomed and honoured newly elected MP Gopal Shetty.

Thonse Jayakrishna A Shetty, Padmanabha S Payyade, Raghurama K Shetty(Belgaum), Dharmapal U Devadiga, Aikala Harish Shetty, Karnire Vishwanatha Shetty, Virar Shanker Shetty, Ermal Harish Shetty, S T Vijayakumar Thingalaya, Surendrakumar Hegde, Ashok S Suvarna, Chandrashekar R Belchada, Ratnakar Shetty Mundkooru, Shimanthoor Udaya Shetty, Praveen B Shetty, Billawara Association vice president Bhaskar M Salian, honourary chief secretary Jyothi K Suvarna, office bearers, Bharath bank managing director C R Mulki, film artistes Balakrishna Shetty Goregaon, M B Kukyan, Dhananjay Shanti, Balakrishna Shetty Malad, Cinemyak manager Sudhesh Putran and others were present.

They watched the movie and expressed their appreciation.

Association vice president Nityananda D Kotian compeered the programme. Hundreds of Tulu Kannadigas staying in Mumbai watched the movie and expressed their comments.
