Bantwal, Jul 20: The stay order issued by former deputy commissioner against the construction of spacious bus stand and commercial complex at B C Road here has now been vacated by present deputy commissioner Maheshwar Rao.

The town panchayat in association with IDSMT project had decided to construct bus stand and commercial complex at B C Road at a total expense of Rs 31 lac.  Foundation stone too was laid for the same later.

However, some private persons had filed a case with magisterial court against the construction of the bus stand and commercial complex.  But the then deputy commissioner Arvind Srivastav had given permission for the project.

But after his transfer, the new DC Dr H V Parshwanath had stayed the project following cases filed by some individuals.  However, now the new DC Maheshwar Rao, after hearing the for and against argument has vacated the stay.

This is indeed good news for the residents as well as the town panchayat.  TP president Dinesh Bhandary has thanked DC for vacating the stay and allowing the project to go on smoothly.
