Panaji, Jul 20: Ten international masters and a woman international master will participate in the Hirabai Salgaoncar FIDE rated All India open chess tournament to be held in Goa between August 6 to August 13, 2006.

"The tournament will be held at Bambolim in North Goa in which six international masters from Maharashtra and one each from new delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Orissa will be participating," Sameer Salgaoncar, of Hirabai Salgaoncar Foundation, told PTI.

He stated that IM Vishal Sareen (New Delhi), IM Abhijit Gupta (Rajasthan), IM Dinesh Kumar Sharma (Uttar Pradesh), IM Varughese Koshy (Tamil Nadu), IM Sharad Tilak (Maharashtra), IM Anup Deshmukh (Maharashtra), IM Sekhar Sahu (Maharashtra), IM C.S. Gokhale (Maharashtra), IM Rahul Shetty (Maharashtra),  IM Niraj Kumar Mishra (Orissa) and WIM Anupama Gokhale (Maharashtra) have confirmed their participation for this prestigious tournament.
