Families of abducted Indian workers meet Sushma Swaraj


New Delhi, June 19 (IANS): Families of seven of the 40 Indian workers kidnapped in Iraq Thursday met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and urged the government to ensure return of their kin.

The 28-member delegation was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and representatives from Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee.

The committee released names of five of the kidnapped workers. These are Manjinder Singh, Jatinder Singh, Sonu and Simran Singh from Punjab and Aman from Himachal Pradesh.

A total of 28 members from the kidnapped workers' families met the minister here.
