Warm Friday in Delhi, Saturday to be cloudy


New Delhi, June 20 (IANS): Delhi experienced a warm Friday with the maximum temperature recorded at 43 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average. The Met Office has forecast a cloudy Saturday.

"The skies will turn cloudy noon onwards. Thunderstorm may occur in some parts of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and the minimum temperatures are likely to be around 42 degrees and 30 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature Friday was recorded at three notches above the season's average at 31 degrees Celsius.

Thursday's maximum temperature settled three notches above the season's average at 41.3 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 28.4 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.
