NEW DELHI, July 23:
Senior journalist Satish Tripathi, working with the Hindi daily Nav Bharat Times, died in an accident on Saturday. He was 52.
 
Tripathi was hit by the Poorva Express at the Chandra Nagar level crossing in Ghaziabad, near hear at about 4 pm, family sources said.
 
He died on the spot.
 
Tripathi is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
 
He was the vice president of the Delhi Union of Journalists and a member of the Press Club of India, Delhi.
 
Tripathi's journalistic career spanned about 30 years.
