Shahabad (Haryana), July 23: A five-year-old-kid, Prince is lying in a 50 feet deep ditch since the last 41 hours.

Falling into the pit 41 hours back, Prince now lies alone, clueless and desperate inside the dark ditch.

He has been crying, making futile attempts to climb out, eating biscuits supplied to him from outside, coping with insects, and even managing to sleep.

A massive rescue operation is on to bring him out, an Army engineering unit from Ambala is coordinating the rescue operation.

A parallel well had been dug to reach him.

But as the walls of the pit are not stable and giving in, so a mettalic shaft with two open ends that has been constructed by the Army will be sent down.

Rains are also affecting the rescue operations, though arrangements have been made so that no water can enter the pit or the tunnel.

Oxygen cylinders have been used to provide Prince with air to breathe. Thirteen cylinders of oxygen have been used so far.

A team of medical experts are also present, who say it the boy is absolutely fit and fine.

The incident has created waves across the country and beyond, with the incident being reported live by several news channels.
