Chain Snatcher Held

Mangalore: Adding to the increasing number of chain snatching instances reported in the district is yet another episode reported near Ajaru Junction Kondamula village under Bajpe Police Station limits.

A 16-year-old Pavithra who was on her way from college to home by walk was approached by stranger who asked for the way to go to Kateel. While the girl was giving the directions, he snatched the gold chain from her neck and ran away. The value of the property is Rs 7,000.


Passengers Fall out from Bus


Mangalore: A hit and run case accident case has been reported in Barke Police Station.
On Friday, four passengers who were alighting from a bus in front of Adlabs Building near KSRTC bus stand Mangalore fell off as the bus when the bus moved forward.

Ragunandan, Sashikanth, Prabakar, and Shekar were thrown out from the buss and sustained grievous injuries.


Theft Attempt Foiled

Mangalore: A woman who was accused of trying to steal tried to remove the gold chain from a small baby’s neck being was held by Mangalore South Police Station. The episode took place near Mangaladevi temple when accused Nallamma (40) tried to remove the gold chain from a small baby’s neck being carried by Jasmine (22) who was traveling in a bus.

The other passengers noticed and alerted the police who rushed to the spot and secured the accused red hand.
