Shah Rukh Khan completes 22 years in Bollywood

Mumbai, Jun 25: Shah Rukh Khan also known as King Khan entered the film industry with 'Deewana', which was released on June 25, 1991. Today, Shah Rukh Khan completes 22 years in the Hindi film industry.

'Deewana' was a super hit film which starred Rishi Kapoor, Divya Bharathi and Shah Rukh Khan in the lead roles. Shah Rukh Khan is only seen in the second half of the film. Originally his role was offered to Armaan Kohli. Armaan Kohli shot for his scenes in first schedule, but backed off after few days due to creative differences.

'Deewana' was directed by Raj Kanwar, who had given many superhits to the film industry. The movie was produced by Guddu Dhanao and Lalit Kapoor. The music of the film was composed by Nadeem Shravan.

Shah Rukh Khan's debut song in the film was 'Koi Na Koi Chahiye' where he can be seen singing the song, while riding the bike. The song become a rage during the time of release. After the movie got released, Shah Rukh Khan was flooded with offers. He went on to star in many blockbusters and cemented his position as one of the top stars of the industry.

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rohit Shetty directed 'Chennai Express' which went on to collect above Rs 200 crores in the box office. He will be next seen in Farah Khan's 'Happy New Year', which is all set to release on October 23.
