Candle light vigil for Indo-Canadian killed in accident

Toronto, June 26 (IANS): A candle light vigil was held in the memory of an Indo-Canadian teenager who was killed in a road accident in the Canadian province of British Columbia.

Kevin Dhillon, 17, was killed Tuesday when his motorcycle was struck by a Honda Accord while taking a left turn at the intersection of 96 Avenue and 123A Street in Surrey, a city in the province, CBCnews reported Wednesday.

He was taken to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Police said the driver abandoned the vehicle after crossing a block and fled on foot.

The driver is still untraced and on the run.

Relatives and neighbours mourned the death of the young man at Surrey's Holland Park Wednesday night.
