Two killed in Delhi road accident


New Delhi, June 26 (IANS): Two students were killed and four of their classmates injured when the car they were travelling in jumped the road-divider and collided with an oncoming car, police said Thursday.

The incident took place at around 11.20 p.m. Wednesday near Mayur Vihar Phase-I metro station in east Delhi when the driver lost control over the car.

"After jumping the divider, the car collided with another car heading towards Mayur Vihar," said a police official.

The police official said the six engineering students, all in their 20s, were returning to Delhi from Noida.

The other car's occupants, a couple and a child, suffered only minor injuries, said the official.
