One of India's oldest periodicals goes online

Aligarh, June 26 (IANS): Tehzibul Akhlaq, one of the oldest periodicals in India launched in 1870 by Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) founder Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, has started its online edition.

The digitized version of the periodical can be accessed on the university's website www.amu.ac.in.

The magazine carries articles on social, cultural and religious issues in line with Sir Syed's emphasis on reform.

AMU's public relations officer Rahat Abrar said another bilingual monthly of the institution - The Aligarh Muslim University Gazette - that was started by Sir Syed in 1866 is already on the AMU website.
