Rajasthan Chief Minister stops to help accident victims

Jaipur, Jun 26 (PTI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today stopped her motorcade and attended to three motorcycle riders injured in an accident while she was passing by the spot at Lalgarh-Jatan, 13 kms from Sriganganagar.

Two of the injured, however, later died in hospital. The three bikers were critically injured when they were hit by a van of a private news channel.

According to a CMO official, Ms Raje alighted from her vehicle and, after taking stock of the situation, directed officials accompanying her to rush the injured to a nearby hospital.

The Chief Minister also called up state Medical and Health Minister Rajendra Rathore and asked him to make quick arrangement for the injured.

Union Minister of State for Chemical and Fertiliser Nihalchand and Sadulshahar MLA Gurjant Singh accompanied the victims to the hospital on the direction of the Chief Minister.

Later, two of the injured - Abdul Haneef (52) and Lala (20) succumbed to their injuries at the government hospital, police said, adding that the third person, Papu, was undergoing treatment.

The accident occurred around 12 pm when the bikers were moving from Lalgarh to Sriganganagar and were hit by the van in front of Gate No. 4 of military cantonment area near Sriganganagar, police said.

I am surprised seeing many of them writing "What is a big or special thing on it, any human being will do that". I am telling you NO. If you are regular reader, you might have observed many incidents in the same portal where many such victims were left on the street with out extending any help. All the street walkers were looking with pity, taking photos and uploading in the FB ... recently one of the old man dies due to over blooding as he was lying on the road for a longer time in spite of may people watching him bleeding. I think it was in Pune and media also high lighted are we lost humanity in us. Now we are talking about such a dignified personality whose time may be so precious and she can have 100 excuses to run away from the spot... but she acted differently. Stopped the vehicles, ensured immediate needs are extended ot the victims... so, it's really a great deal in current society... let's at least appreciate that.

A few months back, three leading politicians along with their followers bypassed an helpless old lady on the roadside in Trivandrum close to the central jail area.

These are the elected officials to serve the public??????????????????

So, when I read about a compassionate action undertaken by the politician of any party, I take that seriously.

Let's not divert the topic. we are not discussing congi and bjp morality here. It's just that the CM had the courtsy to stop and check. It's really valued and respected as current days nobody does that. recently there were so many cases where street walkers just watched a accident victim and he passed away as no help extended at right time. all were just watching him lying on blood. So, topic is appreciating the Rajastan CM for stopping herself and ensuring right treatments were extended. So, let's appreciate it than discussing whose van, whose fault, what speed... etc etc.

Anything can happen anytime. But at the same time we have to appreciate that Rajasthan CM did what was the best possible in the given circumstance. Saving life was more important than trying to find fault. People should learn to appreciate people who are doing the right thing forgetting their differences.

Just glancing through the headline I thought Rajasthan CM stopped helping accident victims. But the CM's action is well appreciated even though if the van belongs to her convoy, at least CM had the courtesy to stop and check on the victims. I recall out karnataka education minister Mr. Ratnakar Kimmane helping the victims of a sinking car in Thirthahalli a year ago.. and in other hand we have a ex minister who manhandled citizens for over taking his car.. ... Jai India

Jossey Saldanha, Mapusa and juliet Mascarenhas, Bejai: Were you there on the spot to say that News channel Van was her team only? If congress politicians help someone they you guys will say they have still morality in their blood and they are good. But if the same is done by someone else then it should be from their team only. That's the mentality of us.
