Woman held with drugs at Bagdogra airport


Siliguri (West Bengal), June 27 (IANS): A 28-year-old woman was arrested Friday from West Bengal's Bagdogra airport for allegedly trying to smuggle drugs, officials said.

Darjeeling resident Lalita Rai, passenger of a Bangkok-bound Druk Air flight, was arrested after six kg of a white powder concealed in her suitcase was found by customs officials.

According to the officials, the powder is suspected to be cocaine.
