Mumbai, Jun 30: 'Ek Villain' was released on Friday June 27 to an excellent response from the audience and critics. The audience went gaga over Sidharth and Shraddha's chemistry. They were seen humming the song 'Galliyan' after coming out of theatres. But the real surprise was Riteish Deshmukh.
Riteish Deshmukh has been appreciated the most for his role. Riteish is seen in a negative role for the first time in his career. His role as a common man, who is considered a loser by his wife has been liked by the audience. Such is the impact of his role, that audience had more sympathy towards his character than Sidharth's character in the climax.
Riteish's colleagues were also impressed by his work and tweeted their opinions. Sujoy Ghosh and Taran Adarsh were some of the few film personalities who praised Riteish's performance on twitter.
Riteish Deshmukh is extremely popular for his comic roles. He was always criticized by some sections of Hindi film industry for only playing comic roles. But with 'Ek Villain', he has proved them wrong.
