Call centre workers held for snatching woman's gold chain


New Delhi, July 1 (IANS): Two call centre employees have been arrested for snatching a gold chain of a middle-aged woman here, police said Tuesday.

Tara Chand and Pradeep Jha, who work at the call centre of an e-commerce website, were involved in more than a dozen cases of snatching in east Delhi, police said.

The duo late Monday targeted a middle-aged woman in Madhu Vihar area of east Delhi.

The woman, however, with help from residents, managed to nab Chand, while Jha sped away on his motorcycle.

Police said Jha was arrested from Mandawali area Tuesday morning.

The duo told police they took to crime in order to earn easy money.

Police also recovered several gold chains which the two had snatched from women.
