Mumbai, Jul 9: Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bharadwaj decided to forego their remuneration for their upcoming film 'Haider'. The movie is jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Vishal Bharadwaj.

Shahid and Vishal had worked together last in 'Kaminey', which did an average performance in the box office. They did not want to repeat this in 'Haider'. So they decided to forego their remuneration, so that the budget of the movie remains low.

'Haider' was shot exclusively in Kashmir. The movie is being made on the budget of Rs 37 crores. Rs 25 crores have been spent on the production activities and remaining Rs 12 crores have been spent on the publicity and advertising.

'Haider' also stars Tabu and Shraddha Kapoor. The movie is slated to release on October 2.
