Duty free baggage allowance hiked


New Delhi, July 10 (IANS): To encourage tourism, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Thursday proposed an increase in duty free baggage allowance limit from Rs.35,000 to Rs.45,000.

Earlier, anyone above 12 years visiting a foreign country for even three days was allowed to bring goods worth up to Rs.35,000 without paying any duty.
