Mumbai, July 12: Govinda is all set to play the role of his age. He will be seen playing Alia Bhatt's father in 'Shandhaar.'
The movie also stars Shahid Kapoor in the male lead. This will be the first time that two great dancers will be sharing the screen space.
'Shandhaar' is directed by Vikas Bahl and is his second directorial venture after Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Queen.' Govinda will be seen in
a funny role in this film.
It seems Govinda has decided to act in roles of his age and not act in romantic roles. He was recently signed to play Ranbir Kapoor's stepfather in 'Bobby Jasoos,' which was directed by Anurag Basu.
In real life, Govinda is father to a 22-year-old daughter Namratha, who is all set to debut in Bollywood.
