Sabella sad but proud of Argentina players


Rio de Janeiro, July 14 (IANS/EFE): Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella has expressed sadness as his team's 0-1 loss in the World Cup final to Germany but said he was proud of his players.

“I feel sad for not winning the World Cup but I am proud of the players. They played a big game. This team is a pride for Argentina. They played well throughout the tournament, everybody will remember this. It is in development stage and played well in front of a superpower,” Sabella said.

Argentina lost the final in extra time at the Maracana Stadium here Sunday.
