Puttur, Aug 7: "There is lot of confusion about the trimester education system which has been adopted in the state.  So it is decided have a workshop of the teachers where-in the pros and cons of trimester system will be reviewed.  If it necessitates, we may have to go back to the annual examination system,' said legislative council member Capt Ganesh Karnik.

He was speaking at a press conference at Press Club here on Monday August 7 morning.

He further said that immediate attention would be given towards filling the vacant slot of teachers in the schools and also building new classrooms wherever they are necessary.  "I would rather prefer to improve the standards of the existing schools than establishing new schools and colleges," he added.
