Four BSF troopers injured in Pakistan firing


Srinagar, July 16 (IANS): Four Border Security Force (BSF) troopers were injured when Pakistan Rangers Wednesday resorted to unprovoked firing at Indian positions along the international border in Jammu district.

"Pakistan Rangers fired at Pital post of the BSF in Arnia sub-sector of R.S. Pura sector of international border in Jammu district today (Wednesday)," a police officer told IANS.

"Four BSF jawans belonging to 192 Battalion have been injured in unprovoked Pakistan firing. The injured have been shifted to hospital," the officer said.

India has been accusing Pakistan of violating a ceasefire agreement signed by the two countries in 2003.
