Mumbai, Jul 17: Salman Khan is all set to star in Karan Johar's highly ambitious project 'Shuddhi'. Salman recently signed the film, thus ending all the speculations about the hero of the film.
'Shuddhi' has been in news from the day it was announced. Hrithik was supposed to play the lead in the film, but he backed out of the project due to creative differences. After Hrithik's backing out, there were rumours about Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Tiger Shroff being considered. But producer Karan Johar dismissed all the rumours.
'Shuddhi' is directed by Karan Malhotra, who directed the blockbuster 'Agneepath'. Salman will be working with Karan Johar for the second time after 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hain'.
'Shuddhi' is a periodic drama. The heroine for the film is not yet selected. The movie is slated to start its shooting from next year.
