Three nabbed for Bihar ex-MP's house burglary

Patna, July 20 (IANS): Three people were Sunday arrested in Bihar in connection with a burglary in former MP Sadhu Yadav's house.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said Rs.39 lakh in cash, along with gold and silver jewellery valued at Rs.1 crore, purportedly stolen from the house last month was recovered.

Sadhu Yadav is the brother-in-law of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad and brother of former chief minister Rabri Devi.

This is second such recovery by the Patna police. Earlier this month, police recovered Rs.1.14 crore in cash, 600 dollars, gold and silver jewellery and six luxury watches stolen from BJP MP Giriraj Singh's flat here.

However, Sadhu Yadav refused to say anything on the recovery of huge amount of cash and jewellery. "Police is investigating into the recovery amount that was stolen," he said.

He had lodged a complaint regarding burglary in his house and loot of Rs.50 lakh and jewellery June 12.
