Manipuri man beaten to death in Delhi


New Delhi, July 21 (IANS): A 29-year-old man from Manipur was beaten to death here by a group of five to six men, police said Monday.

Shaloni, a resident of Munirka in south Delhi, was allegedly beaten up in south Delhi's Kotla Mubarakpur area around 2.30 a.m. after a quarrel with the men.

He was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Science's (AIIMS) trauma centre, where he was declared dead.

Joint Commissioner of Police Robin Hibu said: "He was taken to AIIMS where he was declared dead. A case has been registered against unknown persons."
