New Delhi, Jul 22 (Inputs from PTI) : The humiliating defeat of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas in the Lok Sabha Elections 2014 is proving to be his victory. After losing to Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, the poet-turned-politician appears to have become a celebrity, who is much in demand.
Google has invited Vishwas to give a lecture on leadership to its employees at its headquarters in Silicon Valley on July 29, said a report published in The Economic Times.
The AAP leader, who even lost his deposits in the recently concluded general elections, is also expected to deliver a lecture on 'changing mood of Asian political upbringings' at the Stanford University in California, said the report.
Production company Endemol India has reportedly offered Vishwas Rs. 5 crore to star in the new season of its much-awaited TV show Bigg Boss beginning in September.
The AAP leader is also reportedly trying to make a debut in Bollywood. He has written a Hindi song, which will be sung by Asha Bhosle.
Quoting its sources, the report says the number of his performances on foreign lands has increased and so are the charges.
Vishwas has attributed his new-found popularity to his face-off with Rahul Gandhi. "It is a fact that certain sections which did not take me seriously were forced to sit up and notice when I decided to contest against Rahul Gandhi. My campaign in Amethi was covered by international media and voters had started asking Rahul some uncomfortable questions," the daily has quoted his as saying.
Vishwas unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha polls against Rahul Gandhi from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. Before elections, the AAP leader contested in the Gandhi bastion for three months. However, he failed to give a tough fight to the Congress vice president and was polled only around 25,000 votes.
