Bantwal, Aug 15: The silver jubilee celebrations of Bantwal deanery unit of St Christopher Association was inaugurated during the 24th annual celebrations of the association held at Infant Jesus Church, Modankap here.

The celebrations began with solemn Eucharistic celebration offered by Fr Arun Mendonca.  Fr Rockey D'Sa, parish priest of Modankap and Fr Isaac were the concelebrants on the occasion.

The silver jubilee celebrations were inaugurated during the stage programme which were held after the mass and were presided over by Fr Rockey D'Sa.  Vehicles were blessed on the occasion.  Assistant parish priest Fr Arun Lobo, St Christopher Association central committee president Susheel Noronha, vice-president Herald D'Souza, Denis Miranda, president, Bantwal deanery and John Gomes, secretary were also present on the occasion.

New office bearers for the coming year were elected on the occasion.

Denis Miranda welcomed the gathering and John Gomes proposed the vote of thanks.  Avin D'Souza compered the programme.
