Moodbidri, Aug 15: The Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy in association with Sangathi Media organized "Konkani Mhan Monis Ek Mulakhat" programme at Holy Cross Church premises at Taccode near here on Sunday August 13 evening.

Richard Moras, convener of Konkani Kutam, Bahrain was the chief guest of the programme while Konkani academy president Eric Ozario presided over the function.

Fr Mark Walder, parish priest of Siddakatte and Gopal Gowda, noted folklore artiste were honoured on the occasion for other contribution to Konkani in the field of literature and folk arts.  Later a discussion session was held with them.

The programme began with a prayer hymn sung by Konkani students of Taccode School.  Academy member Vitori Karkala welcomed the gathering and compered the programme while registrar Shivarudrappa proposed vote of thanks.

Noted Konkani poet Titus Noronha was the moderator for the 12th edition of Kavita Sobhann which was held after "Mhan Monis Ek Mulakhat" programme.  Well-known Konkani poets Lloyd Austin Rego (Elyer Taccode), Wilson Kateel, Gladys Rego, Victor Lobo, Geo D'Silva, CGS Taccode, Naveen Pereira and Clement Fernandes participated in Kavita Sobhann.
