Jordan shoots down drone near Syrian border


Amman, July 25 (IANS): Jordanian Armed Forces Friday said they shot down an unmanned aircraft near the Syrian border.

According to military sources, the drone was spotted near the Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees, Xinhua reported. 

The aircraft flew in from across the Syrian border, officials said.

It is the first time that a drone entered Jordanian space.
