Udupi, Aug 17: A man who was caught roaming suspiciously was interrogated by the police, thus averting a murder.
The Udupi police arrested Ganesh (24) of Padavingadi, Mangalore who was found roaming suspiciously near Kukikatte bus stand on Wednesday Aug 16.
Ganesh who was found near the bus stop fled from scene when he sighted a police jeep. The cops chased him and finally caught him.
During interrogation, Ganesh agreed that he had come to Udupi to murder Rowdy Nagesh alias Pitti Nagesh. It is also said that Ganesh has revealed the name of Panduranga Pai alias Pand of Mangalore who had given him the supari of Rs 2 lac to murder Nagesh.
The police have recovered a weapon from Ganesh.
