Udupi, Aug 17: In order to create a conducive learning atmosphere and fight against all forms of sexual harassment usually reported in college campuses, Milagres College, Kallianpur has taken the lead by setting up a cell to fight against sexual harassment.
The Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell was set up under the UGC directives and in association with the NSS unit and the women empowerment cell of the college.
Santwana Women’s Helpline Udupi vice-president Vasanti Rao inaugurated the cell.
Principal of the college Fr Fred Mascarenhas presided over the programme. NSS unit convenors Dr Nerry Cornelio, Prof Shettigar and Loyletta D’Souza were also present.
