Stomach most hated body part: Research

London, July 28 (IANS): Stomachs have been voted the most hated part of the body by the British, followed by love handles and bingo wings, according to new research by non-surgical treatment clinic, CosmeDocs.

When it comes to their worst features, almost a third of Britons voted for their stomachs, followed by the dreaded muffin top (fat on the waist), bingo wings (flabby upper arms), thighs and noses, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Also one fifth of the population noted their chests or pecs as one of their worst features, as well as teeth and legs.

But this has not compelled many Britons to get the correction done by cosmetic surgery with 85 percent of them saying they aren’t planning on having any cosmetic surgery.

However, almost four in 10 say they would consider changing something about their body if money wasn’t an issue.

Ahmed Haq, practitioner at CosmeDocs, said: “Most people have hang ups about their appearance but cosmetic surgery is a big step and, with some operations, irreversible. Anyone looking into any kind a procedure should be 100 percent sure they are doing it for the right reasons and have realistic expectations of the results.

“If you do decide on a treatment or surgery, be sure to do extensive research first and choose a practitioner you’re comfortable with. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and find out more about their experience in the sector. Although price can be a determining factor, make sure it isn’t your sole focus as things such as good reviews and aftercare are far more important,” added Haq.
