Kundapur, Aug 18: A person was stolen of Rs 45,000 by three unidentified persons, by diverting his attention near the bus stand here on Thursday August 17.

It is reported that one Suresh had withdrawn Rs 45,000 from Vijaya Bank here, on behalf of his employer.  He was on his way back to his employer, when three persons who were following him slashed muck on his shirt from behind.  They later told him that his shirt had been soiled.

So Suresh went to a nearby bar and restaurant to wash his shirt.  He asked the restaurant staff to give water to clean his shirt.  As he was cleaning the shirt, the threesome snatched his money bag and disappeared in the crowd.

At this Suresh shouted for help.  The locals immediately got into action and tried to catch the culprits.  But the latter had managed to escape by then.  This is for the second time in the last one month that such an incident has taken place.  It is suspected that a professional gang might be working in the city.
